Megan Hennis

Megan has been making pastries and cooking since her parents let her use the kitchen. She grew up with a family who was passionate about food and cooking, and enjoyed learning to bake using fresh ingredients from their garden and fruit trees. Megan is passionate about making pastries and has been in the industry for over fifteen years, knowing it was always what she wanted to do.
 
Megan started her career at Jasper Park Lodge and has worked at the Empress Hotel for over thirteen years and is an award winning Pastry chef and was recently featured as a “Hot Chef” in the Times Colonist. She has taught at Esquimalt high school as a pastry/baker instructor. 
 
Megan really enjoys teaching people of all ages about pastries and believes that most techniques are not intimidating with clear basic instruction.
