Wedding Cake Decorating - Saturday

Aside from the gorgeous weather and all the fun, summery things that go along with warm days – trips to the lake and barbeques – there are also lots of great things happening downtown in Victoria and right here in the store this weekend.

On Saturday (Aug. 18) we’ll have a wedding cake demonstration with Catherine from A.J.’s Organic Café and Little Cakery from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. We hope you’ll stop by to check it out – you can watch and ask questions, get inspiration for your own cake making or even ideas for a wedding you may have coming up. Catherine is amazing with an icing-bag and her macaroons, sold at her bakery right across the Atrium from us, are insanely delicious.

Also on Saturday, there’s lots farmer’s markets around town including the James Bay Market and Moss Street Market, which is celebrating their 20th anniversary on Saturday. We hear cake served there too! There’s a Tango Festival in Centennial Square on Sunday, Aug. 19 from 1 to 6 pm. The Blue Bridge Comedy Festival is on Aug. 16 to 19  and coming up next week is the Victoria Fringe Theatre Festival, Aug. 23 to Sept. 2.
